We cannot give legal advice
The app and this website are not legal advice, and we cannot advise you about your child's situation. They may contain errors, and laws can change.
They do not replace looking up federal law or your state's law yourself, or consulting with a special education attorney.
Common questions
Where is my information stored?
Only on your phone. There is no account, and nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy.
How do I move to a new phone?
If your phone backs up to iCloud or Google, your information usually comes back when you set up a new phone of the same kind.
To move between iPhone and Android, or if your phone does not back up, go to Settings, then "Backup and transfer," and make a backup file. Open that file on your new phone.
I forgot my backup file password.
The file cannot be opened without it, and we cannot recover it. This protects your information. Make a new backup file and keep the password somewhere safe.
Is this legal advice?
No. The app follows U.S. federal special education law and explains the process. It may contain errors, and laws change. It does not replace looking up federal or state law yourself. For advice about your child, consult with a special education attorney.
Does it cover my state's rules?
The app follows federal law, which applies in every state. Your state may add rules or set different timelines. The app reminds you where to check.
How do I delete my information?
In the app, go to Settings and choose to delete a child's information or all data. Deleting the app also removes its information from your phone.
